Midwest Outside Sales Representative – Kurz Wind

Position Summary:

This Sales Representative- Wind Division– will report directly to the Director of Sales & Operations of the Wind Division. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining accounts in the Midwest. The territory will include North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. Once COVID restrictions are lifted, the expectation is 8+ days a month of travel.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:

-Plan, develop and execute sales strategies to meet established quota. Grow Kurz’s exposure, revenue, and gross margin with customers and prospects within the territory. -Actively communicate trends to vendors. Create plans of action together to best promote products. -Must have a solution selling mentality to identify root causes of problems, generate and evaluate alternative solutions, implement problem resolutions quickly and effectively, and create fact-based decisions. Willingness to learn technical aspects and adapt to quickly changing market trends is key.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

-Preferred Level of Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business or Wind Industry Experience such as a Site Manager, Lead Tech, or Purchasing Capacity. Minimal experience is High School Diploma. -3 years+ experience in Sales and Customer Service preferred but not necessary. Personality/ attitude are key. -A willingness to occasionally climb wind turbines is preferred but not necessary.
